THIS WILL
CALCULATE: If you loan money and receive equal
periodic payments and a lump sum balloon payment, this will calculate your rate
of return.
EXAMPLE:
You are willing to loan me $35,000. I will pay you back at $600
per month for 5 years, and also pay you $10,000 at the end of the
5th year. What is your rate of return?
Please note:
The
key changes the 35000 to a
negative number. With the HP12C all
cash outlays should be entered in as a negative number. The result of .77
is a monthly return on investment. You must multiple by 12
to get your annual return of 9.29. |
